"What a Wonderful World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as George Douglas) and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrongand released as a single in 1968. Thiele and Weiss were both prominent in the music world I think this song (which is actually poem before) brings out the speaker's appreciation to the world. This is seen in the lyrics: I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world. The lyrics bring out the meaning that this is a magical world. Although the trees being green and roses being red might be a very usual thing to most of us. It is in deed quite magical to the composer. This song's slow tempo seems to emphasize the idea that in order to recognize all the good that is around us, we have to slow down and notice it. As Louis Armstrong sings each verse, the listener has time to visualize each line and can stop and think, "Oh yeah.. It IS a wonderful world.." He specialize on the IS. This is to remind again, like YES, it really is a wonderful world, for how are you able to create all this stuff?
